Malaysia, Universe at War and more...

It's been 3 weeks already since I came back from Malaysia. It was a little hard coming back here after having such a great time home. Chinese New Year was so much fun there, and my wedding was awesome! Me and Ariel has a blast although it got a bit stressful. Seeing so many old friends and family makes it truly a special event. I hope to share some of the photos soon in my gallery.

So some new updates on my work. Universe at War, the latest Petroglyph is going great. I am churning out concept and cinematic storyboard everyday now. They are so much fun because all the artwork looks fabulous. Btw, C&C 3, RTS game from EA is also out and looks gorgeous! I can't wait to play it.

Film recommendation: The Host. I just saw it and it was really good. I think its one of the best monster movie in the history of film. The story, character and monster are all very unique to this genre and gave it a fresh perspective. The creature definitely has attitude and good animation too. Go see it!

The other great movie is 300 of course. Its madness! Simple but enough to get it going. Definitely cool and unique though.

The Banquet is another tragic drama coming from China, apart from Curse of the Golden Flower. Their story is complex, acting is good, but what blows you away is the set design and all the elaborate details. Sometime it gets over the top, that it distracts you from the story, which is bad. But still worth a watch just to enjoy all the pretty visuals.
